Land based Alternative Education is an alternative to a classroom education. A formal school classroom doesn't always suit everyone and we know some young people have the skills and ability to succeed beyond traditional pens and paper. Our land based education is an Alternative Education Provision, providing land-based and environmental study programmes to enable students to achieve & apply what they learn in activities they enjoy.
Student participation
At Knights Farm, we believe that every team member plays a vital role in creating a nurturing environment. Our farming activities help students build confidence, enhance social skills, and learn the importance of punctuality and respect. Through hands-on experiences, we teach essential skills like animal management, communication, and teamwork, while also supporting their academic growth in subjects like math and English. Many of our students arrive with diminished self-esteem, but our dedicated team is committed to restoring their confidence and belief in their abilities, helping them rediscover the joy of learning.
Applied learning

Our hands-on approach allows students to transition their classroom knowledge into real-world applications, from horticulture to animal management and mechanical maintenance. We tailor our programs to meet each student's unique needs, providing an alternative educational experience for those seeking a different path.
